Format: Flighted Individual Stroke Play
Join us for our upcoming league tournament on April 12th! This event uses a Flighted Individual format, ensuring you compete against players of similar skill levels. To keep the competition fair and rewarding for everyone, we will be awarding prizes for both Low Gross (raw score) and Low Net (score after handicap adjustment) within each flight.
Flighting: The field will be divided into flights based on your current handicap index. This creates multiple "mini-tournaments," so you’re only leaderboard-watching against peers with similar game.
Gross vs. Net: * Gross Division: Your total strokes for the 18 holes. No handicap applied—pure skill.
Net Division: Your total strokes minus your course handicap. This levels the playing field for all participants.
Scoring: Please ensure all scorecards are turned into the Pro Shop or the designated MVMGA official immediately following the conclusion of your round.
Handicaps: All players must have a valid GHIN or league-approved handicap to be eligible for Net prizes.
Pro Tip: In a flighted event, every stroke matters! Even if you aren't having your best "Gross" day, you could still be in the hunt for the "Net" title in your flight.
